The Division of the State Fire Marshal, working in conjunction with the Cadiz Volunteer Fire Department, recently provided fire safety education at the Harrison Career Center. Patrick Beckley, Fire and Life Safety Educator, gave a presentation on fire extinguisher use to students. He also provided a simulator for students to test their skills in using an extinguisher.

Larry Murral, of the Cadiz Volunteer Fire Department, brought in Pumper #51 for students to gain experience operating a fire nozzle. Welding instructor Greg Guthrie coordinated the training.

Pictured with the fire hose are, from left, Patrick Beckley, student Josh Moffo and Greg Guthrie.

Also pictured is student Travis McDonald trying his hand at the extinguisher simulator.
