The need for qualified computer professionals is outpacing the world's ability to produce them. Due to this shortage of qualified technicians and system engineers, Cisco Systems Incorporated, Ohio Educational Computer Network (OECN), and the 24 Data Acquisition Sites in the state of Ohio developed a two-year program to train juniors and seniors in the public school setting to graduate from high school as Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA).
The PC & Network Technology program is a complete, four semester curriculum on the principles and practices of designing, building and maintaining networks capable of supporting national and global organizations.
The Ohio Bureau of Employment Services estimated that information technology-related occupations will be among the fastest growing occupations during the 21st century. For additional information, check out the ITWORKS.OHIO website.
