Do you have the desire to be a hairstylist? Do you have the ability to communicate with people? If so, you should consider enrolling in the Hair Design program.
Students take part in a two-year program of instruction to develop technical hair design skills. Students learn shampooing, cutting, styling, permanent waving, and hair coloring, as well as sanitation procedures, hair care, and professional salon safety, ethics and management.
Good attendance is a must. The Ohio State Board of Cosmetology requires every candidate to complete 1200 hours of training to be eligible for the licensing exam. Once you have a state license, you will have the opportunity to express your creativity, practice your skills, achieve your career goals as a hair stylist, and earn a good income.
The Hair Design program is available to 11th and 12th grade students.
