Students take part in a two-year program of instruction to develop technical hair design skills. Students learn shampooing, cutting, styling, permanent waving, and hair coloring, as well as sanitation procedures, hair care, and professional salon safety, ethics and management.
Good attendance is a must. The Ohio State Board of Cosmetology requires every candidate to complete a training program to be eligible for the licensing exam. Once you have a state license, you will have the opportunity to express your creativity, practice hair design, achieve your career goals as a hair designer, and earn a good income.
