The Construction Trades program is designed for 9th grade students who would like to acquire the beginning knowledge and basic skills of the construction industry.

Students will complete courses in construction technology and principles of wood construction. Students will learn basic safety, construction math, hand and power tool use, blueprint reading and material handling.

Additional courses available are fundamentals of architecture and construction, structural systems and plan reading, Students will read and create construction drawings and use hand tools to create basic construction projects and models. Students will learn procedures and techniques for layout and framing of walls and ceilings, door and window openings, stair framing, roofing and masonry.
