Marketing Students Advance To State Competition
Marketing students from the Belmont and Harrison Career Centers recently competed in the DECA District Career Development Conference at Kent State University.
Chris Ann Koher, a Bellaire marketing student at the Belmont Career Center, placed 4th in the "Retail Merchandising" competition. Her instructor is Ramona Tharp.
Four students from the marketing program at the Harrison Career Center also placed at the district competition. From left, Jordan White and Rebecca Rhodes placed 4th in the "Travel and Tourism Team" event; Tiffany Brown, placed 4th, and Courtney Dowdel, placed 5th in the "Quick Serve Restaurant" category. Their instructor is Rhonda Glenn.
These students will now advance to the state competition to be held at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Convention Center on March 16-17.
