Pharmacy Technician Students Tour Corner Pharmacy in Barnesville

Our Pharmacy Technician students recently toured the Corner Pharmacy in Barnesville. They were able to see the day-to-day operations of a locally owned, community pharmacy.

Chip Terrett, Pharmacist and owner of Corner Pharmacy, spoke about the realities of working in a pharmacy, as well as, meeting the needs of the residents of the community.

He showed the students the Parata PASS. With Parata PASS, patients are able to take the right medication at the right time, every time. Parata PASS automates the preparation of unit and multi-dose strip packaging, replacing bulky blister packs and cumbersome medication planners. Medications and over-the-counter oral solids are organized by day and time of dose in clear, plastice pouches. It's a smarter option for patients, caregivers and facilities. Mr. Terrett even packaged M&M's and Skittles for the students as samples!
