BCC Seniors Receive Certificates May 21

Belmont Career Center students were honored during the 47th annual Senior Certificate Ceremony and Awards Presentation on May 21. The program was held in the Health & Physical Education Center at Ohio University Eastern.

Scholarship, attendance, outstanding career-technical student awards, and career-technical certificates were presented to 90 seniors.

Top honor students were Jennifer Bonnette, daughter of Rusty Bonnette of St. Clairsville and April Eikenberry of Flushing, and Isabella Goodhart, daughter of Brian and Christina Goodhart of Somerton.

Bonnette has completed the Visual Graphics/Web Design program and will graduate from Martins Ferry High School. She has been on the Principal's List throughout high school and has been honored at the Academic Awards Banquet for five years. She had perfect attendance her freshman and sophomore years. She has also competed in SkillsUSA and advanced to the state level her junior and senior years.

She has completed two semesters of College Credit Plus at Belmont College and plans to continue her college education in the fall.

Goodhart has completed the Hair Design program, received her state board license and will graduate from Barnesville High School. She has been named Student of the Month and has been on the Honor Roll and Principal's List throughout high school.

She has participated in band for six years, Drama Club for two years, Future Farmers of America for two years and 4-H for eleven years.

She is employed at Angie's Just For All salon in Somerton through early job placement and plans to continue working there after graduation. She also plans to continue her education at Preston Beauty College in Marietta.

Seniors recognized for completing their career-technical program were:

AGRICULTURAL MECHANICS (DIESEL) - Nicholas Barnes, Cody Dillon, Benjamin Littleton, Tyler Morgan, Jeffrey Rothermund, Sara Warner and Tanner Weekley.

ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCE - Chace Alexander, Samantha Blake, Tiger Homan, Taylor Huntsman, Rachel Jenkins, Dara Lucas, Ramie McCort, Kelsey Perdue, Taylor Showalter, Ambrosia Sirback, Shawna Warner, Amanda Weber and Tristan West.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY - Benjamin Absalom, William Arigoni, Elizabeth Cline, Paul Coen, Chad Hall, Jerry Lipscomb, Bret Moore, Jeremiah Roller, Logan Schramm, Eric Stewart, William Watson and Frankie Zufelt.

CARPENTRY - Kenneth Blake, Ricky Blake, Allen Green and Dustin Meddles.

DENTAL ASSISTING - Jessica Anderson, Emma Faulkner, Hayley Holskey, Kassi Roby and Roni Vint.

HAIR DESIGN - Alexis Alfman, Faith Coleman, Isabella Goodhart and Alysa Tomer.

HOSPITALITY & TOURISM - Brooklyn Monroe and Ryan Shiflett.

PC & NETWORK TECHNOLOGY - Hunter Baker, Dalton Davis, Justin Hartley, Sean Heaton, Angella Hess, Bryan Hilt, Drew Hugus, Hunter Lough, Samuel MacMillan, Jonathan McClintock, Dustin Morris, Cody Russell and Billy Schmidt.

PRECISION MACHINING - Ian Alexander, Becca Bulger, Jonathan Greenwood, Aaron Harrigan, Jacob Heslop, Victoria Luyster, Rebekka Price, Mark Pyatt, Jeremiah Sattler, Matthew Schmidt and Zee Anna Snider.

SMALL ENGINE TECHNOLOGY - Breanne Barnes, Madelene Gilbert, Dalton Groh, Paul Hodgeson, Colton Howard and Austin Thomas.

VISUAL GRAPHICS & WEB DESIGN - Jennifer Bonnette, Erin Gossett, Cody Karkowski, Ryan Mack and Macy Wise.

WELDING - Brett Berberich, Thomas Bergue, Brian Horne, Matthew Mitchell, Gabriel Monge, Noah Palmer, Zach Shimble and Skyler Shipely.
