BHVSD School Board Members Recognized

More than 100 school board members, adminstrators, staff, students and guests from around southeastern Ohio gathered at the Belmont Career Center for the Ohio School Boards Association Southeast Region Spring Conference on March 7.

The conference featured updates from OSBA officers and staff and a number of awards and recognitions. The region recognized exemplary student programs, outstanding school board members and veteran school board members. Dinner was prepared by Ms. Bobbi Tom and her students from the Culinary Food Services program.

Eric Gartner, right, received a ten-year veteran board member award for his service to Shadyside schools and the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District. Pictured with Gartner is BHVSD board president Don E. Carpenter, who was recognized at the OSBA Capital Conference in November for 25 years of service to Barnesville schools and the BHVSD.
