Machine Trades Students Rewarded

Four students in the Machine Trades program at the Belmont Career Center were rewarded for having perfect attendance during the first nine-week grading period.

"Tools for Time" was established last school year by instructor Bob Jackson to boost attendance and prepare students for the workplace with required tools. "The machinist trade requires an investment in personal tools and I hope 'Tools for Time' will help build a foundation for students making the transition from school to work," stated Jackson.

Businesses contributing to the program are KJ Tooling, Lowes, Tri-State Machine, Mull Industries and the Neffs Rod and Gun Club.
