Students in the Machine Trades program at the Belmont Career Center were rewarded for having perfect attendance during the second nine-week grading period.
"Tools for Time" was established two years ago by instructor Bob Jackson to boost attendance and prepare students for the workforce with required tools. "The machinist trade requires an investment in personal tools and I hope 'Tools for Time' will help build a foundation for students making the transition from school to work," stated Jackson.
Businesses contributing to the program are Lowes, Tri-State Machine, Mull Industries, Neffs Rod and Gun Club, Croft & Son Manufacturing Inc., Rural King, Leyshon Miller Industries LLC and Tecnocap LLC.
